What’s happening in your tank
Generators run rarely by design, so stored fuel can degrade for months without any warning sign. The fuel looks fine. The tank looks fine. Then the grid fails.
Oxidation.
Dissolved oxygen reacts with the fuel and forms gums, varnish and sediment that settle in the tank and are drawn into fuel lines and injectors under load.
Water and microbes.
Temperature swings cause condensation. The water layer at the tank bottom feeds bacteria, fungi and yeast, which produce acids and biomass that clog filters.
Lost lubricity.
ULSD refining strips out natural lubricity, so pumps and injectors are less protected during the cold start after long standby.
What Fuel Ox Vantage does
Oxidation control.
An antioxidant package neutralizes the free radicals that start gum, varnish and sediment formation.
Built-in biocide.
Keeps bacteria, fungi and yeast from establishing colonies in the tank.
Corrosion inhibitors.
Protect metal surfaces in the tank, fuel lines and fuel system from water and microbial acids.
Lubricity restoration.
Replenishes the lubricity that ULSD refining removes, protecting injectors and pumps at cold start.
Water dispersal.
Disperses moisture through the fuel so it burns off safely instead of pooling at the tank bottom.
Combustion catalyst.
Fuel Ox’s unique combustion catalyst cuts black smoke emissions (soot) by up to 70%.
How long it protects
Treated fuel stays good in storage up to 2 years or more. We recommend treating annually.

Treat with Fuel Ox Vantage every time fuel enters the tank. Protection starts on day one, before oxidation, microbes and corrosion can take hold.
Polish, then treat, then maintain
Remove existing water, sediment and biomass. Fuel polishing is available through our partner companies and can be packaged with Vantage treatment.
Add Fuel Ox Vantage to the freshly polished fuel right away.
Treat each new delivery and retreat annually.
Cold climates
A fortified anti-gel version of Fuel Ox Vantage is available for cold climates.
